Marwa. An atelier. Work by hand.
Marwa.
I learned to sew at my grandmother's hands in Alexandria. She made wedding dresses for neighbours as a gift, never as work. I remember the first time I touched real silk — I was nine. That feeling stayed in my fingertips.
I studied design in Cairo, worked in European ateliers, then came home with a single idea: every bride deserves a piece that's hers. Not from a shelf, not because of a trend, but because it reflects who she is.
I opened the Farahy atelier in 6th of October City in 2022. Twenty-five brides in three years. Every one of them is still on my WhatsApp; we still send each other photos.
A small house in 6 October.
Nobody walks in without a booking. Every bride takes her time — we sit, we have coffee, we sketch.
Three rules.
Every piece is tried on the bride before delivery
We don't deliver a tiara without a fitting. The right angle is only clear when the piece sits in real hair.
We don't sell from shelves
Every piece in the catalogue arrives because you chose its details. Even 'ready' pieces are made to your size.
The relationship doesn't end at the wedding
We stay in touch after. Many brides return a year later for pieces tied to new occasions.
